Cancer of the uterus includes both cancer of the “lining of the womb”, called endometrial cancer; and rarer cancers of the “muscle fibres of the womb” called sarcomas. The frequency of women developing cancer of the endometrium is increasing. The most common treatment is surgery involving a hysterectomy and removal of the tubes and ovaries. Cancer Australia has developed an excellent information booklet “Understanding Cancer of the Uterus”. Please click the download button below to view the booklet.
